The Hostetler Family
Doug and Amanda have the challenging task of working as teachers during the
opening year of a small private school in Asia. Doug is teaching English,
Social Studies, Art and PE. Amanda is teaching 1st and 2nd Grade English and
Music.
Brian & Cecilia Karber
Brian and Cecilia have been working to plant a church as part of the outreach
of a Korean church in Sao Paulo, Brazil. They have a growing, maturing
congregation who is seeking to make a difference in their neighborhood.
Cecilia is finishing her last year of seminary and serves in the Korean church
as Head of the Children's Department.
Jim LaRose
Jim was an elementary school teacher in the Ferndale area for 13 years before
responding to the need in Poland. He loves and cares for youth in an institutionalized
foster home (Dom Dziecka). Jim teaches English, supports American missionary
home school programs, and volunteers at a small Christian elementary school.
He also organizes summer outreach camps and activities, heads up the 9-12 year
old Sunday School class, and has especially invested in the lives of two teenage
Dom Dziecka boys that God has put on his heart.
Otto & Marjorie Ekk
The Ekks lead an emerging church in the outskirts of Lisbon and give leadership
and vision for two more church plants along with other projects. They have been
the country team leaders since 1992, and have seen much growth and many lives
changed.
The Sanchez Family
The Sanchez Family is a part of Team 2000, a church planting team made up of 3 families.
They do evangelism, discipleship of new believers and leadership training with
their Thai brothers and sisters. They coordinate ministry for short term teams
coming to Thailand, and pair up their Thai members with teams for their own
missions experience.
